INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS
mpi undertake short-term (up to 2 weeks) assignments on international projects.
We have had a long history of working internationally, which began when we were still at the BBC and working on what is now BBC Media Action in the former Soviet Union countries, with educational programming, training and development projects for donors like the British Government and the EU TACIS programme.
We continued working overseas on media, communications and awareness raising projects, or project components, when we set up our partnership, and these are some of the projects and donors we have worked with:

EU Regional Environmental Centres in the Caucasus, Russia and Central Asia; ISPA service upgrading in Romania; government and civil service communications in Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine; training human rights NGOs in Armenia , Azerbaijan and Georgia; media and PR training of project partners in Women and Children’s Rights Project in Ukraine (for SAFEGE, Belgium); Pan-European training for diversity NGOs in London, Brussels and Warsaw (for the Media Diversity Institute, London)

British Government (DFID and British embassy, Kyiv) directing a 3-year Media Reform project in Ukraine prior to the Orange Revolution; training Ukrainian government communicators in modern communication techniques and public service advertising; training Ukrainian police, civil servants and NGOs in communications prior to the 2012 European Football Cup

We also trained journalists in environmental journalism, lecturing at university faculties in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Ukraine and Moldova
We ran courses on radio journalism at the Caucasus School of Journalism, Tbilisi, Georgia, and on writing for the internet at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Ukraine.
We have also trained news staff at STB TV channel, Ukraine and State TV Mongolia.
